In March our team of scientists performed a new virus inactivation trial using for the first time the power of UV-C light.
While the traditional virus inactivation methods - Heat Inactivation and Gamma Irradiation - caused a substantial loss of oxygen binding activity, ActoHem treated with UV-C light showed little to no deterioration.
The UV-C irradiation equipment was provided by the US company Aquisense Technologies. We extend our special thanks to the competent Aquisense team for their great support.
A copy of the irradiation report (in German or English) is available upon request.
